AUTHOR INFORMATION

2nd Avenue Publishing will publish and promote only 5 to 10 fiction books per year. For that reason, we are seeking only the finest novels out there in the literary world. To be chosen as a 2nd Avenue novel, the story must meet several standards.

1) Well written. The pace should be smooth and engaging, and attention should be paid to the story's mechanics (spelling, grammar, and punctuation).
2) Unique. Fresh new voices tell the best stories. Twists on old tales are fine as long as the author presents the story in a new light.
3) Character development. The characters must be interesting and believable.
4) Language and dialogue. The rhythm should be natural, rich, moving, and consistent with the characters' behavior and personalities.

In additional to the manuscripts meeting these requirements, the authors must also be willing and able to assist in the promotion of their own novels. 2nd Avenue publishing will provide the authors with marketing tips.
